The Beatnik Suite celebrates the 1950 Beat Generation Poets.  It is decorated with Americana from an earlier age, championing road trips, typewriters, early rock and roll, and jazz music.  We host an annual Kerouacfest, inspired writer Jack Kerouac and his passionate artist friends.  These rooms hum with that vibe…daddy-O!  (The Beatnik Suite is actually two rooms, and can house up to four guests.)  Right outside your window is the Alan Freed Star and State Sign, famed dj who named rock and roll and host of the first rock concert, born right here in Windber, PA.  Cinematographer Baird Bryant, who shot the LSD graveyard sequence in the classic film Easy Rider and filmed the famed stabbing footage in the Rolling Stones Gimmie Shelter, stayed here many a year attending every Kerouacfest.
